The Historic Paramount Theatre is located at 1621 Glenarm Place and is in the heart of downtown Denver, just steps from the 16th Street pedestrian mall, Denver Pavilions, and a multitude of excellent restaurants and bars. It was built in 1930 and was originally designed for the silent movies of the time. The Paramount houses a one-of-a-kind Wurlitzer twin-console organ, designed to produce various sound effects in accompaniment with the picture show. The Paramount Theatre was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 and was declared a historic landmark by the City of Denver in 1988.
